China’s 3G phone users exceed 100 mn

Xiao Chunquan, a senior official, said Wednesday that the 3G network covered all cities, counties and some villages in China.
3G, or third-generation mobile telecommunications, is a generation of standards for mobile phones and mobile telecommunication services such as mobile Internet access, video calls and mobile TV.
During the first three quarters, the country’s telecom sector posted a 10 percent year-on-year growth in revenues from its main business, with comprehensive charges down 5.1 percent, Xinhua quoted Xiao as saying.
