New Delhi, Dec 15 (IANS) Delhiites experienced a cold Monday morning with minimum temperature hovering one degree below normal, but the meteorological department has forecast some relief in night temperatures. The minimum temperature for the day was seven degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was 23 degrees, a meteorological official said.

“The chill in the air and cold winds are due to north-westerly winds in the northern hilly regions. A fresh spell of western disturbance in the next two days is likely to increase night temperatures over the region,” the official said.

The meteorological department has predicted mist in the mornings and late evenings.

The sky was clear at the domestic airport in Delhi and all flights were on time, an airport official said.
