Chilly morning in Delhi, sunny day ahead

New Delhi, Dec 22 (IANS) Delhiites woke up to a foggy and chilly Thursday morning with the minimum temperature settling two notches below average at six degrees Celsius. The Met office forecast a clear and sunny day ahead.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 23 degrees, one notch above average.

According to Met office, fog reduced visibility to 400 metres in the morning.

“Humidity wavered between a high of 100 and low of 29 percent,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

On Wednesday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 23 and 6.8 degrees.

According to IMD, the coldest day of the season so far has been Dec 16 when minimum temperature dropped to 4.7 degree and maximum to 21.7 degrees.
