Chill forces MCD to extend winter vacation in schools
January 6th, 2011 - 8:07 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 6 (IANS) The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) Thursday extended the winter vacation for school students till Jan 13 in view of the cold wave that has been sweeping north India since the past one week.The vacation was earlier scheduled from Dec 25-Jan 9.
“Keeping in view the effect of low temperature on children, holidays in all MCD and its aided schools are being extended. The situation about cold wave will be re-assessed on the eve of the opening date,” a statement said.
