Chhattisgarh officer faces anti-corruption raid
January 22nd, 2011 - 10:40 pm ICT by IANSRaipur, Jan 22 (IANS) Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths carried out co-ordinated raids Saturday in different parts of Chhattisgarh on properties of a deputy secretary-rank government officer and unearthed illegal assets worth at least Rs.47 million, sources said.The ACB raided the properties of M.D. Diwan, deputy secretary with water resources department, in Raipur, Bilaspur and Janjgir-Champa districts. Documents and cash were seized, sources said.
Sources in the ACB said the officer owned several acres of land and houses in various districts.
