Chetri to lead hockey team in Champions Challenge
November 18th, 2011 - 4:26 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Nov 18 (IANS) Goalkeeper Bharat Kumar Chetri will lead the Indian hockey team in the men’s Champions Challenge I tournament at Johannesburg from Nov 26 to Dec 4.
Former captain Rajpal Singh, who is recuperating from an injury, has been left out of the squad.
Striker Shivendra Singh will return after being out of the team with a collarbone injury.
India have been drawn in pool A with Belgium, Poland and host South Africa.
Pool B consists of Canada, Argentina, Malaysia and Japan.
