Chaturvedi removed as Congress spokesperson

New Delhi, Jan 15 (IANS) Congress MP Satyavrat Chaturvedi was Thursday removed as a spokesperson of the party, a day after he asked Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh to go for “physical and mental check up”.”Chaturvedi has been removed from the panel of the Congress spokespersons,” a Congress leader told IANS. “Chaturvedi was not attending the routine briefings of the party for a long time.”

Congress spokesperson Manish Tiwari said separately that Chaturvedi’s remarks were his “personal view and the Congress does not subscribe to his statement” about Amar Singh.
