‘Chashme Buddoor’ set for monsoon release
June 1st, 2012 - 8:39 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 1 (IANS) The much-talked about “Chashme Buddoor” remake, directed by David Dhawan, will release Aug 31.
The original came out in 1981. Directed by Sai Paranjape, the light-hearted drama starred Farooque Sheikh, Deepti Naval, Rakesh Bedi and Ravi Baswani who gave stellar performances in the film, which entertains movie buffs even today.
Dhawan has roped Pakistani actor Ali Zafar, Siddharth of “Rang De Basanti” fame and Divyendu Sharma, who was seen in “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” and southern beauty Tapasee in the remake.
Viacom 18 Motion Pictures has produced the film, and the music has been composed by Sajid Wajid.
