Raipur, Aug 28 (IANS) A large number of people gathered on the streets in this Chhattisgarh capital Sunday to celebrate after Anna Hazare ended his fast in New Delhi.
“It’s the time of real celebrations, it’s a rare occasion when peoples’ power dominated politicians who were forced to adopt Anna’s three key demands,” said Lokesh Jain, a Class 12 student.
Jain was among the dozens of supporters who rushed to Jai Stambh chowk, waving the Indian tricolour to celebrate after Hazare ended his fast.
On Saturday evening too, supporters had poured in at the main protest venue, Budha Talab, and raised slogans in favour of Hazare when TV channels flashed news of parliament adopting a sense of the house resolution agreeing to three main demands of Team Anna.
