New Delhi, Jan 5 (IANS) The parents of murdered teenager Aarushi Talwar have alleged that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) closure report in the case is a web of imagination. Mother Nupur Talwar said there was a possibility that she left her daughter’s door unlocked and left the keys hanging on the door, which gave the killers access to Aarushi’s room.

Nupur Talwar told CNN-IBN: “The CBI report is a web of imagination, not worth the paper it is written on.”

Rajesh Talwar, the girl’s father who is named as the chief suspect in the sensational murder case in the closure report, said the CBI had to be sure before they charge a parent with a child’s murder.

“We always had faith in these agencies, there is no other way. When the Uttar Pradesh Police came to our house, we had complete faith in them. But when this is the way you are treated, you lose faith,” he said.

Nupur Talwar said: “There is a possibility I didn’t get back the keys and left them hanging on the door, and that is what has given access to these killers to Aarushi’s room. I will never forgive (myself) for that.

“I know I’ll never be able to live with this fact, and I am completely guilty,” she added.

Nupur Talwar said the CBI had been informed all of this.

She said that at no point did they ever touch the crime scene, and the closure report’s version of how the crime scene looked was not how she found the dead Aarushi.

The 14-year-old girl was found murdered under mysterious circumstances in the Talwars’ apartment in Noida, Delhi’s suburban town in Uttar Pradesh, May 16, 2008.

The family’s domestic help, Hemraj, was also found killed on the flat’s terrace — a day later.

The CBI moved a Ghaziabad court seeking permission to close the Aarushi murder as an unsolved case on grounds of lack of conclusive evidence. The decision has triggered a row.
