CBI raids Punjab BJP legislator’s house

Chandigarh, May 4 (IANS) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Wednesday night conducted searches at the residence of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Raj Khurana here.
Khurana, who represents Rajpura constituency in Punjab, is also the chief parliamentary secretary (finance) in the BJP-Akali Dal coalition government.
CBI officials sealed his house in Sector 39 here, and the raid was continuing till the filing of this report.
However, CBI officials were tight-lipped over the reason for the raid. Khurana, who was earlier in the Congress, joined the BJP in 2006.
