CBI doubles reward money in Shehla Masood murder case
January 14th, 2012 - 9:41 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Bhopal, Jan 14 (IANS) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team investigating Right to Information (RTI) activist Shehla Masood’s murder has increased the amount announced for information in the case from Rs.5 lakh to Rs.10 lakh, an officer said Saturday.
“We have increased the amount to Rs.10 lakh. Three phone numbers of our officers have also been made public to get information on the murder,” CBI officer Arun Bothra told IANS.
The three numbers provided by the CBI are: 09425600927, 09425661632 and 09245001643.
Masood was killed Aug 16 last year, when she was leaving her home and about to start her car.
The case was handed over to CBI Sep 5. Later, the premier agency announced a reward of Rs.5 lakh to those who could provide information on the activist’s killing.
