Cats scare the wits out of Vidya Balan (Snippets)December 19th, 2008 - 9:00 am ICT by IANS
New Delhi, Dec 19 (IANS) If there’s one thing that sends shivers down actress Vidya Balan’s spine, it’s a cat.”If there is a cat on the sets, Vidya drives the whole unit crazy. She sees to it that it is chased out. Until then, she remains petrified,” a unit member said.
Though the actress is scared of all cats big and small, it saddens her if someone hurls stones at them.
“She can’t bear to see stones being hurled to get rid of the cat. ‘Why don’t you just shoo it away’, Vidya tells us often,” the source added.
Minissha loves it when people whistle in theatres
Minissha Lamba, last seen in “Kidnap”, loves the idea of watching a film in a single screen theatre because she adores audiences that whistle at the right moments.
When “Kidnap” was released, the actress took her friends to an old theatre in Mumbai to experience the old world charm.
“I really wanted to see the film among people who would have whistled, hooted, and all of that. I have never seen a film like that, none of my films at least,” she said.
The actress doesn’t know how to whistle, but she was doubly excited when people started whistling at her bikini-clad incarnation on screen.

Small screen’s Ichha says she’s a good girl
Unlike her on-screen character Ichha on TV show “Uttaran”, eight-year-old Sparsh Purshotam Khanchandani says she is not a very demanding girl in real life.
“I am a good girl in real life. I don’t ask for many things from my parents,” said Sparsh, who has previously starred in shows like “Bachpan” and “Mera Sasural”.
On the show, the little girl is shown pestering her mother constantly for a more luxurious life.
Sparsh, a grade three student, is originally from Ulhasnagar near Mumbai.
