Carnival to mark Sharjah ruler’s recovery
January 12th, 2012 - 12:53 am ICT by IANSSharjah, Jan 11 (IANS/WAM) People in Sharjah will organise a carnival to celebrate the return of their ruler, Shieikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi after medical treatment in Paris.
People have started preparing for the celebration in Sharjah’s Al Hamria area. The carnival march planned along the Hamria beach Friday will feature folklore presentations and poetry in praise of the ruler.
Large billboards flashing messages of happiness have already come up in the streets in Al Hamria.
Recuperating from a successful surgery in Paris, the ruler returned home last week.
