Car runs over two, rams into crane
June 6th, 2010 - 10:30 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 6 (IANS) Two people were run over in north Delhi by a speeding car which later rammed into a crane, also killing the driver of the car and his companion, police said Sunday.
Bhagwan Das, 30, and his nephew Rajat, 5, were run over by a Honda city car - being driven by a minor - while they were on their way to a temple on the Murthal Road.
After crushing the two, the car rammed into a crane.
“Ankur and Prince (the occupants of the car, both minors) died in the crash. The driver of the crane received minor injuries,” a police official said. It was not clear who was driving the car, tne official added.
According to eyewitnesses, the car had a Delhi Police sticker on its front windscreen. However, police denied it.
