Car rolls down gorge in Himachal, five killed
June 29th, 2012 - 4:49 pm ICT by IANSShimla, June 29 (IANS) Five people were killed when the vehicle in which they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down a gorge in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur district, police said Friday.
The dead included three women.
The car carrying five people was going to Tapri when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it fell into a 200-ft gorge near Bhavanagar, some 175 km from here, Thursday night, Superintendent of Police Veena Bharti told IANS.
She said the victims belonged to Kothi village near Rekong Peo town in Kinnaur district.
One person, who was injured was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died. Four others died on the spot.
