Capital shivers at 3.3, temperature to dip further (Lead)
December 24th, 2011 - 8:11 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 24 (IANS) The national capital witnessed the coldest day of the season Saturday with the mercury dipping to 3.3 degrees Celsius - five notches below average.
While the maximum temperature was recorded two notches below average at 20 degrees, the humidity wavered between a high of 93 and low of 33 percent.
The Met Office has forecast a chilly weekend with a further fall in the temperature.
“Sunday will be foggy and the minimum temperature is likely to settle at 3 degrees. The sky will be clear in the day,” a Met official said.
The maximum temperature is likely to be 20 degrees.
