Cabinet approves quota in promotions
September 4th, 2012 - 2:03 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 4 (IANS) The union cabinet Tuesday approved quota in promotions for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, a move that was discussed at an all-party meeting last month.
The cabinet met in the Parliament House premises here and approved the amending bill for quota in promotions.
“The government is considering bringing in the bill before parliament as soon as possible,” an official told IANS.
