Cab driver stabbed to death
February 8th, 2011 - 12:46 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Feb 7 (IANS) A 32-year-old cab driver was robbed and stabbed to death by unidentified men in east Delhi Sunday night, police said. According to police, the deceased has been identified as Vijender, a resident of Kalyanpuri. The incident took place in Mayur Vihar Phase III.
“We got a call at Police Control Room around 11 p.m. that a man was lying in a pool of blood. We reached there and rushed Vijender to a nearby hospital,” said a police officer.
The man died in hospital. The doctors said he had been stabbed several times. “We have sent the body for post mortem,” said the officer.
The deceased’s purse and mobile was found missing. “We are investigating the matter and waiting for the autopsy report. We have also rounded up several history-sheeters for questioning,” said the officer.
