Bus mows down guard
December 29th, 2011 - 10:36 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 29 (IANS) A private company’s security guard was crushed to death by a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus Thursday morning in central Delhi, police said. The bus driver was arrested.
Ram Rajkumar, 30, a resident of east Delhi, was killed around 9.45 a.m. near Mandi House Metro station. His bicycle was hit by the speeding bus.
Driver Devender Kumar, 29, was arrested and a case of rash and negligent driving was registered against him.
Till Dec 15 this year, state-owned DTC buses were involved in 79 fatal accidents, killing 80 people.
