Burnt body of woman found in Delhi
October 4th, 2011 - 10:36 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 4 (IANS) The burnt body of a young woman was found in north Delhi Tuesday, police said.
The body was found from Dhruv Enclave at Aman Vihar. Police said the woman’s throat was slit and the upper portion of the body was burnt.
The surgical blade used to slit her throat was also recovered. The assailants might have tried to deface her by setting her on fire but her face had minor burn injuries only and could be identified, police said.
“No one has come forward to claim her so far. We have sent the picture of the victim to all the police stations here and in neighbouring cities,” a police officer said.
According to police, the woman appeared to be around 18 years of age.
