Building collapses in Ghaziabad
July 16th, 2011 - 7:30 pm ICT by IANSGhaziabad, July 16 (IANS) A four-storey under-construction building collapsed here Saturday, an official said, adding operations are on to rescue people trapped under the debris.
The building was coming up in the Shalimar Garden area of the town, a Ghaziabad fire official told IANS.
“The incident was reported around 2 p.m. The rescue operation is on and we have have taken out 10 people,” the official added.
The reason for the building’s collapse is yet to be ascertained, he said.
