Building collapses in Ahmedabad, several trapped
January 28th, 2011 - 11:35 am ICT by IANSAhmedabad,Jan 28(IANS) Several people were trapped when a five-storey under-construction structure collapsed on the adjacent residential building here Friday morning, fire officials said.The under-construction building collapsed in Kalupur area of the densely populated old walled city and its debris brought down an old building adjoining it.
According to witnesses, at least 15 people are trapped inside the residential building.
Rescue operations are under way and fire brigade personnel have extricated four people so far.
