Building collapse kills six in China
November 23rd, 2011 - 2:26 am ICT by IANSBeijing, Nov 23 (IANS) An under-construction building collapsed in a Chinese province, killing six people and injuring seven others, officials said.
The incident took place in southern Guangdong province Tuesday, Xinhua reported.
The building in Shanwei city collapsed around 4 p.m., burying a total of 13 people, said a spokesman with the city fire-fighting department.
The building was being built as a training centre for a bank, and construction on nine stories had been completed, he said.
