Briton found dead in Goa hotel room
February 17th, 2010 - 12:53 am ICT by IANSPanaji, Feb 16 (IANS) A 41-year-old British national was found dead in his hotel room at Goa’s popular coastal resort village of Calangute late Tuesday. Police suspect he committed suicide.
The victim was identified as William Defray. He was found hanging from the ceiling of his hotel room in Calangute, around 20 km from here, police said.
Officials said they suspect Defray committed suicide. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination and an inquest would be conducted Wednesday.
British consulate officials have been contacted, an official said.
