British national robbed in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, Aug 26 (IANS) A British national was beaten up and robbed by two youths in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh, a police official said Tuesday.Andrik, who was temporarily staying near heritage village Naggar, was assaulted and robbed Sunday night when he was going to Manali, Kullu district police chief Jagat Ram told IANS.

He said Andrik reported the matter to the police a day after the incident.

The British national told the police that the bag contained foreign currency worth Rs.100,000 and some documents, including his passport.

“The case is under investigation and we have got some clues,” Ram said.
