Britain limps back after snow

London, Feb 4 (IANS) Britain limped back to normalcy Wednesday after shutting down for two days on account of heavy snows.Most of the 6,000 schools that were closed Monday and Tuesday are reopened, but councils have already said around 75 would be shut in Wales, giving thousands of children an unexpected third day off school.

A 16-year-old girl died after a sledging accident in the northern town of Rotherham, Yorkshire.

Meanwhile, the Met Office warned of ice and more snow Thursday and Friday in many parts of Britain.

Transport services were expected to return to near-normal levels after a second day of widespread disruption Tuesday.
