Bright sunshine keeps Clinton company
July 18th, 2009 - 4:26 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, July 18 (IANS) Bright sunshine greeted US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at all the venues she visited here Saturday, unlike the previous day when she arrived amid stormy weather.
The clear sky was a delight for photographers as they went about covering Clinton’s first trip to India after assuming office. There was no rainfall in most parts of the city, making for a pleasant day in the monsoon season.
Be it the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel where she was staying or Napean Sea Road which houses an office of the NGO for women, SEWA, or the St. Xavier’s College, a cheerful sun kept Clinton company.
