Bridge carrying water pipe collapses on train, five hurt
October 23rd, 2009 - 1:38 pm ICT by IANSMumbai Oct 23 (IANS) A bridge carrying a huge water pipe came crashing down on a train between Mulund and Thane in north-east Mumbai Friday morning, injuring at least five passengers and trapping others.
There were no immediate reports of any deaths in the incident, a spokesman for the Central Railway said.
A rescue and relief team has rushed to the spot. All suburban services on the slow commuter corridor have been suspended till the tracks are cleared.
