BRICS leaders issue Sanya Declaration

Sanya (China), April 14 (IANS) Leaders of China, Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa issued a joint declaration as they wrapped up the BRICS summit in Sanya Thursday.
The declaration summed up BRICS countries’ consensus on the global economy, international financial issues and developmental affairs, diplomatic sources told Xinhua.
Thursday’s summit was chaired by Chinese President Hu Jintao and attended by Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and South African President Jacob Zuma.
