Boy mistakenly drinks acid, dies
April 7th, 2011 - 8:14 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 7 (IANS) A seven-year-old boy died after mistakenly taking a sip from a bottle containing acid, police said Thursday.
Amit Kumar was playing at his home in Nihal Vihar area of west Delhi Monday afternoon when he drank from the bottle, thinking it contained water, a senior police officer said.
By night, his health started deteriorating and he was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Mongolpuri, where he died Tuesday.
His father Lallan Kumar, a factory worker, had brought his wife and son from Bihar two months ago.
