Boy falls to death from school building
January 25th, 2012 - 12:36 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 24 (IANS) A Class 10 student fell to his death from the second floor of his school building in east Delhi Tuesday, police said.
Varun Jain, a student of Rishabh Public School in Mayur Vihar Phase-I, had left his classroom on the second floor of the school minutes before the incident.
“It appears that as several children rushed out of their classrooms, the corridor may have been become overcrowded and the victim toppled over the railing,” said a police official.
“He was rushed to hospital but succumbed to injuries during treatment,” said the official.
We have registered a case of death due to negligence, he said.
