Bolangir hooch death, test confirmed pesticide

- Bhubaneswar(orissa): The number of death increased to 8 in the Bolangir hooch tragedy. Even after 36 hours has been passed after tragedy the police still searching for the culprits. The primary test found some kind of pesticide in the deseased’s body. As per the information given by the CDMO, Bolangir the liquor sent to Bhubaneswar forensic lab for confirmation.
on 26th june, Spurious liquor claimed six lives and rendered nine persons seriously ill at Gandapalli village in Orissa’s Bolangir district.
The villagers consumed hooch late last night after which they immediately started to complain of nausea, vomiting and dizziness. Three persons died on Thursday, followed by three more on Friday.
Vendor Budha Seth who sold the spurious liquor is now absconding. This is the second time since May that spurious liquor has claimed lives in the state.
