Body found in Maoist-dominated area
August 1st, 2010 - 4:24 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Aug 1 (IANS) A man’s body with bullet marks was found in the Maoist-dominated Salboni area of West Bengal’s West Midnapore district Sunday, police said.
“The body was found by locals at Gormal village,” police control room sources here told IANS.
Maoist posters were found beside the body, which had bullet wounds.
“We have got information that a body has been found. The police force is reaching the area,” West Midnapore police chief Manoj Verma said.
Maoist ultras are active in the state’s three western districts of West Midnapore, Bankura and Purulia.
