Bodies of man, woman found in gunny bags
May 25th, 2011 - 5:24 pm ICT by IANSBijnor(Uttar Pradesh), May 25 (IANS) The bodies of an unidentified young woman and a man were found in this Uttar Pradesh town, police said Wednesday.
The bodies, stuffed in separate gunny bags, were recovered late Tuesday from Kotwali Dehat area.
“The bags containing the bodies were found dumped near a river. The bodies were first spotted by some passers-by,” Inspector P.R. Shekhar told reporters in Bijnor, some 350 km from Lucknow.
“The bodies bear no injury marks. It appears that the two have been poisoned and the bodies were later thrown into the river,” he added.
According to police, the two were poisoned two-three days ago.
“The man is in mid 20s, while the woman appears to be in the early 20s. We are yet to ascertain their identity,” said Shekhar.
