Blast in home kills seven in Madhya Pradesh
September 30th, 2011 - 11:06 pm ICT by IANSBhopal, Sep 30 (IANS) A blast in a home in Madhya Pradesh’s Tikamgarh district killed seven people and injured three, police said Friday.
“The blast took place because of the scrap in the house. The scrap material was brought from the army and had a bomb in it,” Tikamgarh Superintendent of Police Aakash Jindal told reporters.
Among the seven killed, four were children and most of them were of the same family. The three injured have been referred to Gwalior for treatment.
The administration announced Rs.50,000 compensation for the kin of each of the deceased and Rs.25,000 for the injured.
The house was located at New Bus Stand of Tikamgarh, over 300 km from here.
