BJP to push for Lokpal bill in winter session

New Delhi, Nov 21 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Monday said it will push for passing the Lokpal bill in the winter session of parliament starting Tuesday.
“The standing committee on Lokpal bill will submit its report on Dec 7. We will put pressure on the government to clear it before Dec 21, when the winter session ends,” BJP’s deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha S.S. Ahluwalia told reporters.
Team Anna has threatened more protests if the bill is not passed in the winter session while the government said that all efforts will be made to get it cleared.
