New Delhi, Oct 3 (IANS) An unidentified woman allegedly stole around Rs.1.5 lakh and a mobile phone from an exhibition booth of the daughter of a Rajya Sabha member at Ashoka Hotel here, police said Monday.
The woman, around 60 years old, Tuesday stole the brown-coloured handbag with a Blackberry mobile phone and the cash from the booth of Karishma Singh, daughter of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP V.P. Singh Badnore, at the Bridal Asia exhibition held at the five-star hotel, police said.
Karishma was displaying her products at the event.
“I have identified the lady stealing the bag from my booth which is very clear in the footage from closed-circuit television installed there,” Karishma told police.
