Bhopal, Aug 26 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bhopal legislator Dhruv Narayan Singh and Indore Inspector General Pawan Srivastava might be quizzed by the Madhya Pradesh Police in connection with the murder of RTI activist Shehla Masood, police sources said Friday.
On Aug 16, anti-corruption activist and India Against Corruption’s Madhya Pradesh chapter head, Masood, was shot outside her residence here.
Police has prepared a list of 18 people who would be quizzed in connection with the murder. The call details of Masood’s phone played a vital role in preparing the list, a police officer said.
While Pawan Srivastava’s name came as Masood had feared for her life from him and sought police protection in 2010, it’s said that Dhruv Narayan used to meet Masood while he was the president of the Tourism Development Authority.
However, sources say that as soon as he was removed from the position, his relationship with Masood soured.
On Aug 20, the Madhya Pradesh government recommended a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe in the case.
