BJP leader in the dock for booze bash

Gandhinagar, March 2 (IANS) The former vice president of the Gandhinagar district Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit, Prabhatsinh Thakore, is in the dock after a raid at his farmhouse on the eve of Holi unearthed alcohol plus bar girls specially ushered in from the country’s metros.
According to police, liquor was being served and a dance party was in full flow when Deputy Superintendent of Police Usha Rada and her men landed up.
Bar girls from Mumbai and Kolkata were dancing for the benefit of the leader and his real estate broker friends, police said, adding that six people including Thakore and the four bar dancers have been arrested and twelve bottles of liquor seized.
Gujarat is a prohibition bound state and possession or consumption of liquor without a
valid permit is an offence.
