New Delhi, Dec 9 (IANS) As a parliamentary panel tabled its report on the Lokpal bill Friday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said non-inclusion of Citizen’s Charter and lower bureaucracy were its major weaknesses.
“This is a question mark on the reliability of the whole political system,” BJP leader Arun Jaitley told reporters.
“I have no hesitation in saying this looks like a lawyer’s draft which is devoid of the political and administrative realities,” he said.
A sense of house passed by the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha in the monsoon session of parliament had said the houses in principle agreed on including Citizen Charter and lower bureaucracy under the Lokpal and establish the Lokayukta in states.
“The whole country was told that lower bureaucracy will be under Lokpal.”
