Birla lays off employees at auto trim unit
January 6th, 2009 - 9:21 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, Jan 6 (IANS) Conglomerate Birla Corp Tuesday announced it had decided to lay off employees at the company’s Birlapur auto trim division.In a regulatory statement, the company said the decision was taken on account of shortage of power. The layoffs come into immediate effect.
The auto trim division supplies automotive interiors to major Indian car manufacturers.
