Bike-borne men loot Rs.32 lakh
April 28th, 2011 - 11:26 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 28 (IANS) Two motorcycle-borne men snatched a bag containing Rs.32 lakh in cash from two employees going to deposit a total amount of Rs.95 lakh in a bank, police said Thursday. The robbers were, however, unable to snatch the other bag containing Rs.63 lakh.
The robbery took place in Lahori Gate area of central Delhi when the employees of two partners Surender Jain and Rajnish Garg were on their way to deposit the money in a bank.
“Rajesh Kumar and Naresh Aggarwal were carrying the cash in two bags. One bag had Rs.32 lakh and the other contained Rs.63 lakh. They were waylaid by two motorcycle-borne men who tried to snatch the two bags. But the robbers could only snatch one bag containing Rs.32 lakh,” said a police officer.
