Bike-borne assailants attack scribe
June 7th, 2011 - 11:58 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 7 (IANS) Two bike-borne assailants attacked a scribe with a surgical knife, police said Tuesday.
“Farhan Yahiya, 31, was attacked in the Chandni Chowk area Tuesday at around 2 a.m. while he was on his way to cover the BJP protest at Rajghat,” said a senior police officer. Yahiya is a resident of Central Delhi’s Ballimaran area.
The assailants waylaid Yahiya, who was also on his bike, and hit him with a surgical knife on his face and fled from the spot, police said.
Yahiya, who works for a national daily, was rushed to a hospital.
