Bihar on alert after Maoist leader Kishanji’s killing
November 24th, 2011 - 11:59 pm ICT by IANSPatna, Nov 24 (IANS) A high alert was sounded across Bihar Thursday after reports of Maoist leader Kishanji’s killing in a shootout in West Bengal, police said.
Police officers said that all the police stations across the state had been alerted in view of the threat of violence following the killing of the Maoist leader.
“All district superintendents of police have been directed to alert police stations in their jurisdiction,” an official said.
The Maoists are active in more than two dozen of 38 districts in Bihar.
