Bihar, Jharkhand to get IGNOU regional centres
April 22nd, 2011 - 7:03 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 22 (IANS) The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will soon establish regional centres in Bihar and Jharkhand to promote open and distance learning among the people in eastern parts of the country.
The regional centres will come up in Saharsa in Bihar and Deoghar in Jharkhand, according to a IGNOU statement.
“The regional centres are responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of study centres, student support services and organisation of staff development programmes in the region,” the statement said.
