His family members allege the boy was murdered. After a post mortem examination, police claim that the victim died of suspected poisoning.
The student Gaurishankar suddenly fell unconscious in school after a brawl with a classmate Monday. He was rushed to a local hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
Some students have also said that Gaurishankar had an altercation with another student just before he became unconscious.
“Since the post mortem report says that the death was caused by poisoning we are investigating whether the boy had committed suicide or was given something laced with poison,” police officer Harish Sharma said.
