Sachin Tendulkar New Delhi, June 17 (IANS) The Indian cricket board and batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar feel that the Umpires Decision Review System (UDRS) should be made accurate with Snickometer and Hot Spot technology.

Tendulkar said that he is not opposed to the UDRS but wants it to be more accurate.

“I am not against DRS, but I feel it will be more effective with the support of the Snickometer and Hot Spot technology. This will give more consistent results,” Tendulkar was quoted as saying by ESPN Cricinfo.

President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Shashank Manohar also said that he has informed the International Cricket Council (ICC) that the board has no problem with Hot Spot.

“I have even told the ICC that we have no problem with Hot Spot. Our objection is to ball tracking…. it becomes just a case of someone else’s imagination versus the umpire’s imagination,” he told the website.

The BCCI has been a strong critic of the UDRS and also opposed its use in the Test series against the West Indies and England.

The ICC cricket committee has recommended the use of UDRS in all Test series and a final decision will be taken at the executive board meeting later this month in Hong Kong.
