Basic engineering keeps metro fall,fails

- Move in the corridors of the egineering wings of
any state and central government departments,carrying of engineering
gadgets has become out of vogue.Why needs the engineering simple and
complex gadgets as the entire responsiblity is on engineering
companies or the crudly called contractors.Supervision is superior
term which is inteself fedual character and many more to plead for
their roles as superior men.
DMRC Managing Director E Sreedharanhe did advised that the 67 Nos
metro pillar be rebuilt but the number suggest it was to happen so
that the strength of quality must for capital project was wholly
ignored and the basic tect check of pillar strength could not have
been done hence the killer pillar be demolished told by the Managing
Directors
as he was ‘unhappy with its safety standards’ were also not adhered to
and overlooked.Media reports further suggests that technical advisers
shot down the idea and the pillar remained with a few ‘hasty
patchworks.’
Media agencies further reports “During his visit to the spot in May,
Sreedharan had advised field officials to bring down the pillar. DMRC
technical committee assured him it was not a grave problem and would
not pose any danger, he did not persist,” said a senior DMRC official
wishing anonymity. Sreedharan accepted the pillar had developed
cracks.
Technical committe foolish decesion could have prevailed had the fork
lifter with two side dimesion for lifting the two slabs of right and
left would have functioned in right perpective.Here also when placing
the two slabs of 4.3 meter with same fork without testing the angle
strength and the fall of two slabs loading even from the little height
gave skidding load tech check of material strength made the gate
crashed the pillar 67 thus two pillar on load which is also absurd
with one fork loader without any support forkers made the basic
engineering saftey flouted.
The entire team of the Engineering wing is prayed to have simple
engineering gadgets and basic must be adhered as all technical skill
needs to have first basic in order to discipline the projects.
While loading anything on 180 degrees straight line with mid point may
not have much probs but if the line has little circumfencial
cusps,convex or conclave and once you are not adhering to logic th
accident bounds to happens in rail,raod,bridge construction.
All engineering rules must be adhered before launcher is on set
otherwise the lauch pad in itself tells about your history and analogy
of your acts.
