Barber held for homosexual’s murder in Pakistan
August 3rd, 2011 - 2:10 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, Aug 3 (IANS) A barber, who has been arrested here for killing a man in a garden, has said he befriended the victim as he was a homosexual.
The victim’s body was found in Rose and Jasmine Garden three weeks ago.
Police official Khalil Ahmad told Dawn that nothing was found on the body that could lead to its identification and even the clothes of the murdered man were missing, except for a vest.
Later, a wallet was found, which helped identify the victim.
Investigations led to the barber, who told the police the victim was a homosexual due to which he had befriended him.
The barber said he served tea mixed with a tranquiliser to the victim.
The victim fell unconscious soon after removing his clothes and the barber took away Rs.5,000 from his pocket.
When he was about to leave, the victim caught him in a semi-conscious condition. This resulted in a scuffle between them and he strangled the victim.
